A tweed Argyll kilt outfit pairs an Argyll cut jacket in a country tweed weave with a kilt in your chosen tartan. It is daywear rather than evening wear and is worn for country weddings, autumn ceremonies and Highland games.

Tweed is correct for any wedding held during the day, particularly in autumn and winter or outdoors. It is not the right cloth for a black tie evening reception, where a Prince Charlie outfit is the expected answer.

Weathered, hunting and muted tartan ranges sit most comfortably with tweed because both cloths share the same low contrast. A bright modern colourway competes with the weave and neither reads clearly in photographs.
